Interrelationship

motif Helix-Turn-Helix (HTH) motif (7000025)

A short sequence and structural motif that spans approximately 20 residues and is found in various DNA binding proteins. The HTH-motif of Engrailed homeodomain folds independently. Generally, the motif is involved in DNA recognition but some HTH motifs are involved in protein-protein interactions.
